2 dog system should have a 2 dog setting
"I really wanted to like this collar since we have the first version. My thoughts were 2 dog system yah we dont have to carry two remotes, WRONG! 2 dogs don't get the same settings. Our 2 dog systems in the past allowed us to set 1 dog at 35 and the other at 55. This one does not so huge waste of money."
Nice unit, trouble with finding conditioning level
"Really like the unit for several reasons: I like how light weight it is and relatively small it is on my dog’s neck, I like the plastic quick release buckle for ease of getting on and off, and I like the continuous nick feature which is what sold me on the Tom Davis unit over the other Dogtra units. What I’m struggling with is how to find my dog’s conditioning level- went to a level 10 in this unit and honestly can’t tell if he’s feeling it or not (seems like perhaps not?). A little wary about going higher when starting off in my training, as Tom says over level 10 is a correction when starting off. It is fit very snug. What am I looking for and what level are other people finding your dog’s conditioning level is?"

"This is my first e-collar. Buck’s focus has greatly improved in two weeks. Previously, he was going to his place and his elbows weren’t even touching the mat. Now, he is going to place, down and staying for 10-15 minutes. He even stayed with a rabbit eating yards away. In the field, I use a long line also for his safety and the rabbits."

Pretty good but could use improvement/consistency
"We recently upgraded from the Tom Davis 280c 2. 0 (original) to the 280c 2. 0. We are only a one dog household but wanted the extra features that didn't come on the original, such as the level lock and the tone. Also, we liked the color change. We are happy with this upgrade however there are a few consistency issues when switching over from 280c to 280c 2. 0. It doesn't affect the functioning but could be improved in future production. 1. The levels are not equivalent and the 280c 2. 0 is definitely not calibrated the same way as the 280c. Even though there are 127 levels the and we were used to operating on a level 6 nick level on the 280c, we need to go to level 12 on the 280c 2. 0 as our training level. This also feels different when tested on myself. The level values are not the same. 2. When powering off the 280c it says "OFF" and when powering off the New 280c 2. 0 it says "OF". A bit annoying to my OCD but I obviously know what it is meant to say. Overall, we are happy we upgraded and love these products."
