"First, I'm trainer for about 10 years. The 280x is great, but I would make some changes. I would make a single button to control vibration, and tone, maybe program one or other. due to not using very much, if at all. My opinion. maybe the locator light too. I do like separate buttons for nick, and continuous. Seems they should both be accessible more easily. Use one of the button spaces to a boost. One butt for continuous, one for nick, and one for boost and another to toggle between, vibration,sound, and light. Keep it simple to use, but programable, with the less used functions. Otherwise it is a awsome unit, very durable,lightweight, and compact. dogtra is very friendly, take care of any issues, helpful, DOGTRA IS A AWSOME COMPANY, VERY GOOD TO WORK WITH. THANKS EVERYBODY AT DOGTRA. . ."

"I originally had purchased another high-end E collar, but found I really wanted easy access to boost, vibe, and tone. I use each of these for different applications when training. Having a dedicated button for each of these features is really nice. I no longer have to try to fumble with the controller to change settings. The entire product feels well-built and should last a long time. My only gripe was that there was no physical manual in the box; there is a quick start guide, but I had to download the manual from the website."
