"I have always used a Garmin GPS system until mine broke. while I loved the reliability, I didn't love the lack of correction options, less than 10. So a 1 was too low and 2 shocked the heck out of them. My old eyes also appreciates the viewing on the phone with all the detail instead of a simple arrow system."
"I purchased this for hiking and mountain biking with my Brittany’s and of only tested it out five times near my home while hiking. Overall, it seems to be what I’ll need to keep track of my dogs. The good - it appears to be able to track both of my dogs and I’m able to track them on my phone. I’ve been able to use the phone and the handheld device to keep track of them. I like how it tracks the distance and you can record each outing. Things to be aware of – the app is a bit fiddly and is not always intuitive. I’m fairly text savvy, but have had to Google a couple of things to learn the app. Every time you turn on the app, it has a couple of warnings and it wants to set an initial marker, I’d like to be able to just turn that off. For trying to get your dogs attention, it’s not super easy to go from one dog to another, and it has to be done on the cell phone before you use the provided handheld device. Also, you need to have the handheld device with you in order for everything to work, so if hiking, it helps to have the phone strap to your arm and if mountain biking, you need a mount for your phone on your handlebars. Also, I’m in my 60s and my eyes are not what they used to be, so I need to turn my brightness on my cell phone to the max, which, with the recording of the dogs in the brighter light drains the phone. Just something to be aware of. Most importantly, I feel comfortable knowing where my dogs are and they seem to be responsive when I page them. That ultimately is the goal along with them having fun."

"Much better than my old Garmin Alpha - I have had two complete systems for two dogs and neither lasted. Also, the Garmin updates were hard to do and customer support for their dog products was terrible. So far this system is working great, and if it lasts as long as my other Dogtra products, I will be very pleased."
