"I got this upgraded version for my service dog after her old one stopped working. The tone and vibration modes work well for her. I barely have to use the stim button. I blinged it the collar to disguise the presence of an e-collar. People judge. I absolutely recommend this collar! Haven’t tested the water resistance yet, as it’s fall. I expect it to work as advertised."
"I have had several Dogtra models and a Tri-Tronics. I appreciate that both transmitter and receiver are waterproof, the digital display mean no guessing about battery status. My brother likes the tester vs me using his wrist. I like the belt clip. I considered the smaller unit for a less conspicuous receiver and smaller receiver. But adapting. Stim is reliable. Overall very happy with this upgrade."
"This is replacing my 11+ y/o Edge RT. I decided I really did not need the distance, since my dogs don’t go out of sight in training. I also wanted a smaller transmitter and this fits the bill! Great features. I am still figuring out the levels since it is a change from 1-8 to 1-100!! I don’t need to use it often so… but everything is easy!!"
"Waterproofing was the main reason I chose this collar, so the first trip to the pool was extremely disappointing. Water appears to have gotten into the unit, and the collar began activating without any input from the handheld. I noticed my dog twitching, removed the collar immediately, and stopped using it. This is the second Dogtra collar I’ve had fail after being exposed to fresh water, and after this experience I’m done with the brand."
"It’s great. Paired with a bungee collar and 3/4” contacts, I’m getting a much more reliable contact on my heeler’s double coat compared to my old 1900ncp. The only recommendations I have are adding another button so nick, constant, and boost are all available. Along the same lines, it’d be if the light were on the outermost side from the neck. Overall, vast improvement and nearly perfect. The boost is a game changer."
