Users can pair the 280C e-collar to the 280X remote however, there are certain limitations in access to features accessible only on the 280X e-collar such as tone, XPP vibration and the LED e-collar light as well as the requirement to power on the 280C requires a magnetic on that the 280X cannot provide.

Are both the 280X remote and e-collar waterproof?

What’s the difference between the 280X and 280C?

It can also support up to 3 dogs. The 280C only offers HPP Vibration, Nick, and Continuous buttons. Both e-collars are compact, but the 280X includes an LED light, audible tone, power button, and plastic contact covers.

Really good for teaching old dogs new tricks

"From my experience, my Doberman learned how this works, easily. We use the vibration and beep function to warn him whenever he’s crossing a boundary. Appears to be water resistant and battery lasts awhile before needing charging. That last part also depends heavily on how many corrections your dog requires."

Really good training tool when used properly

"This is the e-collar my trainers suggested because it has 100 different level settings. Some only have ten settings and where one setting might not get the dog’s attention, the next one might scare it and make it yelp in pain. This is a great training aid and the flexibility makes it safer and kinder. I charge mine every night. I think it can go a couple of days, but we are working on reactivity and I want to be consistent. It has been a great tool for training better behaviors. I do recommend a third-party bungie collar. Makes it much easier to get on and off."

"From my experience, a bit to large for a medium sized dog. I have a Brittany Spaniel and it is just on the large size for him and no smaller contacts to replace the long ones that come standard. If there were smaller ones It would be more tolerable for him so we only use it for a short time."
