Charge Every Device First

Give your GPS connector and receiver collar a full charge before you attempt to pair them. Here's what that charge looks like in practice:

• Charge both devices together using a rapid charge of about 3.5 hours.
• Use only the official Dogtra charger. Third-party chargers can damage the battery or void your warranty.
• Reattach the rubber charging caps once charging finishes, since they keep the ports waterproof.

Check Phone Compatibility

Your phone needs to clear a few requirements before the app will detect either device. Check yours against this list before you download anything:

• Bluetooth 5.0 or higher
• iOS 12.1 or later
• Android 6.0 or later
• Apple Watch support, if you plan to use one alongside your phone

Once your phone checks out, turn on Bluetooth and Location Services so the app can find your devices the moment you open it.

• Search for "Dogtra PATHFINDER2" directly so you land on the current version.
• Skip the original PATHFINDER app. It cannot detect the new GPS connector and will leave you stuck before pairing even starts.
• Allow Bluetooth and location access when prompted. Both are required for accurate tracking later.

Pair the GPS Connector to Your Phone

• Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.

• Hold the Power/Connect Phone button on the GPS connector until pairing mode begins.
• Select the connector inside the app to complete the connection.

• Nick and constant stimulation modes

• Stimulation levels on a scale from 1 to 100

Explore Helpful Tools

Create the Boundary

Keep two things in mind while you're drawing it: your boundary needs at least four points, and large, smooth shapes hold up better than boundaries with tight corners or crossing lines.

Sync the Boundary to the Collar

With your boundary saved, sync it to the receiver collar so the two stay in agreement:

• Keep the receiver collar nearby.
• Press Sync E-Fence Boundary inside the app.
• Wait for the sync to finish.
• Look for the blue LED to confirm the boundary is active.
