Users can pair the 280C e-collar to the 280X remote however, there are certain limitations in access to features accessible only on the 280X e-collar such as tone, XPP vibration and the LED e-collar light as well as the requirement to power on the 280C requires a magnetic on that the 280X cannot provide.

The 280X features a redesigned remote and e-collar setup with a double-layered protective front plate, central Nick/Continuous command button, tone, boost, safety lock, XPP Vibration, LED light button, and a large LED screen. It can also support up to 3 dogs.

The 280C only offers HPP Vibration, Nick, and Continuous buttons. Both e-collars are compact, but the 280X includes an LED light, audible tone, power button, and plastic contact covers.

The 280X output levels are not equivalent to the 280C. For example a 280C performing at the full 127 is equivalent to a level 80 on the 280X.

When transitioning from the 280C to the 280X we do recommend finding your dogs new working level in this system.

The 280X features Extreme Performance Pager Vibration, delivering a stronger impact compared to the 280C’s High Performance Vibration.

HANDSFREE PLUS Squares are compatible with the 280X and users can pair up to 14 squares to the 280X or X1 Remote Transmitter.
