Dogtra's popular line of e-collars has been put to the test for durability and waterproofness. In 2020, Dogtra tested its popular line of e-collar units to be put through the Ingress Protection waterproof rating test and receive the IPX9K certification.

What is the IP rating?
The Ingress Protection (IP) rating classifies the level of protection provided by the exterior casing and electrical enclosures against a variety of elements.
Which rating does Dogtra have?
Dogtra's IPX9K rating has been specifically tested for waterproof protection. The Dogtra units were tested at close range using powerful water jets with high pressure and high temperature over various points.
Why is this important news?
Most electronics (smartphones, headphones. etc) and other e-collar brands have a rating of anywhere between IPX5K-IPX8K. Dogtra is currently the only E-Collar brand that has the IPX9K rating. The current IP rating chart goes from 0-9 where 9 is currently the highest rated.
